Video clip synopsis:
One of the problems for us is that we don't understand the purity of 'confidence' and 'command' in and of themselves. As we are now, we tend to think of acquiring confidence and command through various means: possessions, position, respect of our peers, education, etc.
But how many times have we gone through the tough lesson of having finally won the thing I was sure would give me confidence and command, only to find I am now a captive of that condtion? "I was sure when I finally made it to that high position in the corporation I'd have respect and command over others, but now I'm more worried about losing my position than I ever was about getting it!"
I cannot be in command of myself if I'm worried what even so much as one other human being is thinking about me. Our idea of command is literally to have the entire world around us unfold as we believe it should. That can't possibly be the nature of Real Command because it will always be subject to the way the world moves.
So the real quest is to uncover a natural command and a natural confidence that stand high above all these other temporary forms I've mistaken as confidence and command.
