Until we realize that we share our life with the Living Light -- a secret, silently all-seeing Being through which we witness our experience of life -- we cannot know the real nature of Love with its perfect Freedom... Because the Divine Life that wishes to show us these Timeless Truths can only reveal them to us through opened eyes that we share in common.
Higher self-awareness itself is never frightened even as it reveals fearful thoughts, just as light has nothing of the nature of darkness in it but only reveals, by contrast, any darkened form that passes into it.

When one hates or resists his own limitations, and in doing so becomes identified with them, he cannot see that his unconscious agreement with these negative states is itself a part of the limiting forces acting in a secret conspiracy to maintain the illusion of being a captive. We suffer not from limitations themselves, but from our fearful resistance to them!
Our doubts are traitors dressed as protectors, but all they actually keep safe is the fear they harbor thatwe might outgrow them and their limiting hold upon us.

Talk 1: Welcome the Lesson That Lets You Transcend Yourself
Key Lesson:
Any fear we may have to see ourselves as we are belongs to a fearful self whose sole task it is to ensure we don't see that we are seeing our life through its eyes. In God's eyes we are perfect potential, and therein fear is to our power to transcend its dark influence, as is the pounding thunderstorm to the field of wild flowers that bloom in its wake.
In this life there may be the usual cocooning of self, brought about by the avoidance of relationship, or there may be a Celestial cocooning whose cause is in the name of Relationship; both involve darkness at the outset, but only one includes the Living Light that transforms the self enclosed.

The secret of starting over reveals itself to us as we awaken ourselves to those unseen parts of us that are dedicated not just to reviving past, dark moments, but that continue to revisit these unhappy images as though they still live!
The conviction that we need to make real changes in ourselves comes to us in proportion to our realization that what we really need isn't a new vision of who we should be, but the Grace-granted courage to discontinue being who we have been.
The work of instant self-recovery does not mean the instant disappearance of some negative state that has set in upon you -- it means the conscious instant withdrawal of being identified with that dark condition in your consciousness.
