How do I enroll in the program?
To begin the enrollment process, simply
complete the online Affiliate
Program Application. We will automatically approve your application
in good faith, but we reserve the right to cancel your account upon
further review of your site content and/or the means through which
you intend to participate in the Program.
How are links to www.guyfinley.com established?
When you sign-up to join the Program, we will provide you with a
username and password for accessing your own private web-based control
panel. Once you log in to your control panel, you will find all the
materials needed, including graphics and the special links you use
to direct visitors to our site. You can also use your control panel
to create your own Special Links for directing your visitors to any
page on our site you wish.
How are customer orders processed? Will I need to do anything?
We process all product orders placed by customers who follow special
links from your site to our site. We are responsible for all aspects
of order processing and fulfillment. Among other things, we will prepare
order forms; process payments, cancellations, and returns; and handle
customer service. We will track sales made to customers who purchase
products after clicking-thru to our site from one of your links, and
we will make available to you reports summarizing this sales activity.
What kind of rewards
might I receive from participating in the Program?
The current commission structure is as follows:
You receive 50% of qualifying revenues from each first-time sale
made to each visitor referred through your site.
You receive 10% of qualifying revenues from all subsequent sales
beyond the first-time sale made to each of your referred visitors.
(This is a lifetime commission structure! See below for
details.)
You receive 15% of the commissions paid to any 2nd-tier affiliate
who you refer into our Program. Your 2nd-tier affiliates are those
guyfinley.com affiliates who signed-up for the Program after clicking
on one of your special sign-up links.
We do not pay referral fees on donations, shipping charges, taxes,
or any item purchased from our Special Value Center or offered
in conjunction with discounted promotional offers on our site.
How are payments scheduled for
the products that have been purchased through my special affiliate
links?
Affiliate payouts are calculated
on the 1st of every month, and checks are sent within 15 days
thereafter. We have a 30-day minimum clearing period to allow time
for customer returns, refunds, and sale adjustments. This means,
for example, that the commissions you earn from sales referred to
our site in July will come due for payment to you on September 1st.
Your check would arrive mid to late September. If the
referral commissions payable to you for any payout period are less
than $25, we will hold payment until the total amount payable to you
is at least $25 (or whatever minimum payment threshold you selected
when signing up). The total referral commissions earned by you will
be subject to our standard terms and conditions.
How can I get help with designing and setting up a web site?
Currently we do not have the staff or
resources required to walk you through this process, but we do have
a special Reference Center with links
to all sorts of information that will help you create a web site of
your own. There are even links to help you create a site for free!
I don’t have a web site. Is there
still a way for me to participate?
Yes! When you join the Program you will
be provided with your own special links that will send visitors to
our site. Normally those links would be placed on a web site of your
own. However, if you don’t
have a web site, you can still use those links to refer interested
individuals to our site through other means. Examples include listing
the links in a newsletter or posting them within another web site
(the same rules regarding which applicants, sites, and uses are excluded
from participating in the Program would apply in these cases).
What kind of sites are prohibited from participating in your program?
We reserve the right to cancel or decline participation in our Program
if your site, or the means through which you participate in the Program,
is unsuitable for the Program. Unsuitable sites and means of participation
include:
- Promote sexually explicit materials
- Promote violence
- Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion,
nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- Promote illegal activities
- Fail to follow common guidelines and practices
having to do with fair and courteous Internet and e-mail etiquette
- Include "Life of Learning Foundation"
or “Guy Finley” or similar variations or misspellings
in their domain names
- Otherwise violate intellectual property rights,
including improper or missing references for copyrighted or trademarked
material.
Are there any products on guyfinley.com that are not part of this
program?
We do not pay referral fees on donations,
shipping charges, taxes, tape/CD-of-the-month memberships, or registrations
for special events like our annual Talks in the Pines retreat/workshop.
I’ve heard of two-tier programs. What are they and are they
part of your program?
Yes, our Program includes a two-tier
structure for those who wish to take part in it. We refer to those
Affiliates who take part in this aspect of the Program as our "Outreach
Program Partners."
Along with directing interested visitors
to our site through your own web site, with this Program you can also
earn commissions from traffic that originates at other web sites.
How is this done? By offering your visitors - whether they're friends,
relatives, business associates, or even other Companies a
special link that gives them the opportunity to sign-up for our affiliate
program.
If you refer an individual to our affiliate program, and he or she
signs-up for the program, that affiliate then becomes one of your
2nd-tier affiliates. This means that, in addition to the 50% initial
commission and 10% subsequent commissions you'll be receiving from
your own regular traffic, you'll also receive 15% of the total commissions
we pay to your 2nd-tier affiliates.
Do you offer lifetime commissions for visitors referred to guyfinley.com?
Yes! When your visitors click on your
special links, our system places a simple tracking element known as
a “cookie” on your visitor’s computer. As long as
that tracking element remains on that visitor’s machine and
our system can access it, we will know that that visitor came through
your site, and you will receive the corresponding commission whenever
that person makes a qualified purchase from our site.
Once the tracking element is in place to help us identify that
you were the referring affiliate, you will get credit for ALL sales
made by that customer, regardless of when they occur.
